When you work in compliance, your law-enforcement actions may be subject to public scrutiny at any time. It’s challenging, complex, and important work. So how can you stay up-to-date, minimise risk to your agency, and take the right actions in an ever-changing regulatory environment? A key element is through regulatory officer training.
The NSW EPA delivers regulatory training to Commonwealth, State and Territory, and Local Government organisations. All courses are led by experts and designed to provide you with the specialist skills and knowledge you need to excel as a regulator. And as an AELERT member you benefit from significant price discounts.
Training is delivered in user-friendly formats including online e-learning, facilitated workshops, and face-to-face courses. Training can prepare you for a new position, help you advance in your field, or sharpen your current skills.
National qualifications offered are the Certificate IV in Government Investigations and Diploma in Government Investigations.
Many non-accredited courses are offered including Investigative Interviewing; Surveillance Devices; Giving Evidence in Court; Environmental Noise; Litter Enforcement; Waste and Resource Recovery; Asbestos Awareness; Understanding the POEO Act.
Trainers can travel to you to deliver in-house courses, and content can be customised or created to meet your organisation’s learning needs.
If your organisation can’t fill a whole course, there’s a blended option where regulators from other agencies attend alongside yours. It’s a smart way to access quality training and connect with fellow regulators without incurring staff costs for travel or accommodation.
Courses are offered across Australia.
